Anse Dufour beach
Les Anses d'ArletAnse Dufour Beach Anses d'Arlet : Pictures and description
Located near the Anse Noire, the Anse Dufour is distinguished by several unique characteristics. Unlike its neighbor, its beach offers sand of a golden hue, creating a striking contrast with the black sand of Anse Noire, in accordance with its name.
To access the beach, at the top of Morne Bigot, follow the road for approximately 3 kilometers which goes down towards the beach. Be careful, the road is steep... You will find parking on the rocky point which separates Anse Noire and Anse Dufour.
The Anse Dufour beach has two small beachside restaurants, allowing visitors to enjoy local dishes while enjoying the view. Rather popular, the Anse Dufour is also renowned for its underwater depths rich in diversity. Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts will find an opportunity to explore a fascinating underwater ecosystem.
It should be noted that, unlike the Anse Noire beach, the Anse Dufour offers very little natural shade, so it is strongly recommended to wear sunscreen to protect yourself from the rays of the tropical sun.
The Anse Dufour Beach offers an off-the-beaten-path experience, allowing visitors to relax and soak up the authenticity of this Caribbean island. For more information on the beaches of the island, you can consult our page dedicated to beaches in Martinique.
