Les Anses d'ArletGrande Anse d'Arlet Beach : Pictures and description
The Grande Anse d'Arlet is a vast expanse of white sand located on the southern coast of Martinique, in the Caribbean region. To find it, take the D7 which leads to the Anses d’Arlet. Just before arriving at the village, you will find the Grande Anse d’Arlet beach on your right. It is located just before the Morne Champagne cliff. If you continue the road, you will arrive at the Anses d’Arlet, and even further, at the Petite Anse beach.
The Grande Anse d'Arlet beach is very popular with the island's residents because of its natural landscape, as well as the small terraces of bars and restaurants that line it. It is characterized by calm and pleasant waters, which makes it a preferred anchoring place for many boats. The Grande Anse d'Arlet is particularly lively on weekends, offering the opportunity to admire a magnificent sunset at the end of the afternoon, thanks to its west-facing exposure.
The appeal of this beach also extends below the water's surface, with seabeds of remarkable beauty, particularly at the northern and southern ends, where one can explore exceptional underwater depths and observe a wide variety of tropical fish. Turtle enthusiasts can try their luck in the "grassy" bottom areas and, with a little patience, they will have the opportunity to spot these marine creatures, especially in the morning.
